Ashley Law Crawley is widely regarded as being one of the leading ethical and independent financial advisers based in the heart of the Gatwick Diamond. We provide services to both personal and corporate clients. Many are based in the Southeast, but we also have a fair number of clients throughout the United Kingdom.
Ashley Law Crawley, part of national firm of Independent Financial Advisers, Ashley Law Limited, which was founded in 1989, is run by the Business Owner and Associate Partner, Tracey Evans.
Tracey Evans – Associate Partner
Tracey is passionate about helping clients see their big picture and has been doing so now for over 20 years. She forged her early career at several national advisory firms where she learnt her craft and came to understand that financial advice isn't simply just about money. In order to provide the kind of advice and service Tracey felt was lacking in other financial services firms, she established Ashley Law Crawley in 2006.
For her individual clients, Tracey offers a truly personal service undertaken with care and attention to detail, offering a listening ear with everything explained in a clear and concise way.
For corporate clients, Tracey has invaluable experience in benchmarking employee benefit packages and negotiating bespoke provider solutions for clients at optimised cost and service.
Tracey holds the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate, and is also a member of the Personal Finance Society (PFS) by Diploma a qualification held by less than 22% of all members of the PFS. In addition, as a Member of Personal Finance Society by Diploma (DipPFS), Tracey is also required to follow their code of professional conduct and undertake Continuous Professional Development. Tracey is currently studying towards achieving Chartered status, further demonstrating her commitment to keep on “top of her game”.
Tracey lives in Copthorne, West Sussex with her husband Derek and has 3 sons. When not working she enjoys travel, scrapbooking, theatre, socialising and beating Derek at Scrabble!
Debbie Hughes – Financial Planning Manager
Debbie started her career in the financial industry in 1985 and a further 25 years on she is renowned within the Ashley Law Crawley team for being thorough, with a fine eye for detail and a methodical approach that is so important in financial services.
Ashley Law Crawley clients regularly comment on Debbie’s cheerful and sunny disposition and how it's always lovely to speak to her when they contact us.
Fully qualified up to the level of a financial adviser and the proud holder of the Financial Planning Certificate, Debbie is primarily responsible for the all-important market research and report writing - the essential work that has to take place before any recommendations can be made to a client. To this end, Debbie works very closely with Tracey.
Debbie's role also encompasses managing the administration team to ensure that the regulatory procedures are complied with and that an attentive and truly helpful client service remains at the heart of everything that we do.
Debbie is married and also has an extended family of cats. She has a keen interest in travel, performing arts, photography and gardening.
Abi Jones - Administrator
Abi is the backbone of our administration team, bringing over 10 years experience in financial services administration. In our very busy office where mountains of paperwork are the order of the day, Abi is the perfect organiser. Cheerful and friendly, Abi’s strong work ethic ensures that all the administration in our office is to a high standard and everything is delivered on time.
Abi’s experience prior to joining Ashley Law Crawley included being an administration assistant in a niche pensions firm where Abi spent time developing their administration teams, heading up a new payroll department before specialising in SIPPs, SSASs and annuities.
Progressing with financial planning qualifications is now Abi’s goal. She's safely on the road to this having completed CF1 which is the first module of five. Abi is aiming to complete the last module, CF5 in 2011 when she will be well on her way to becoming a qualified financial adviser.
Studying aside, Abi enjoys continuing to expand her knowledge base at Ashley Law Crawley from the wealth of experience that Tracey and Debbie provide, but her favourite part of the job is building on the existing positive relationships with both corporate and individual clients.
Another cat lover, Abi loves going to the gym, indulging in a spot of cookery and on the quiet, she is a dab hand at graphic design.
Derek Evans
Every successful business needs an entrepreneurial and experienced business person who can ideally provide a range of consultancy and support services - in the vital areas of IT, marketing, website and social media development, business strategy, HR and legal issues.
Finding that person is another matter altogether!
We consider ourselves fortunate at Ashley Law Crawley in that although Derek's primary job is with British Telecom plc where he is currently responsible at BT Wholesale for business development with Orange in the UK, for the last three years he has also found time to hold a non-executive role at Ashley Law Crawley. His wider business experience gained holding senior positions with BT Global Services, Thorn EMI, Siemens, EDS, Thus and ntl is invaluable.
Derek also looks after financial modelling for Ashley Law Crawley in terms of accounts and sales forecasting.
It's not all work though. Derek is passionate about Formula One motor sport, new gadgets, relaxing cruise ship holidays and trying (in vain) to beat Tracey at Scrabble!
