Ashley Law Crawley is widely regarded as being one of the leading ethical and independent financial advisers based in the heart of Sussex. We provide services to both individual and business clients. Many are based in Sussex, Surrey and Kent, but we also have a fair number of clients throughout the United Kingdom.

Ashley Law Crawley, part of national firm of Independent Financial Advisers, Ashley Law Limited, which was founded in 1989, is run by the Business Owners and Associate Partners, Tracey Evans and Derek Evans.

Tracey is the joint business owner and Associate Partner at Ashley Law Crawley, part of the national firm of Independent Financial Advisers. Tracey works in partnership with her husband, Derek.

Tracey is passionate about helping clients see their big picture and has been doing so now for over 20 years. She forged her early career at several national advisory firms where she learnt her craft and came to understand that financial advice isn't simply just about money.

In order to provide the kind of advice and service Tracey felt was lacking in other financial services firms, she established Ashley Law Crawley in 2006.

For her individual clients, Tracey offers a truly personal service undertaken with care and attention to detail, offering a listening ear with everything explained in a clear and concise way. For business clients, Tracey has invaluable experience in benchmarking employee benefit packages and negotiating bespoke provider solutions for clients at optimised cost and service.

Tracey holds the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate, and is also a member of the Personal Finance Society (PFS) by Diploma (DipPFS). In addition, as a member of the PFS, Tracey is also required to follow their code of professional conduct and undertake Continuous Professional Development.

As if her current qualifications are not enough, Tracey is now one of the U.K.'s top 40 Registered Life Planners with the prestigious Kinder Institute. An 18 month period of intensive study and on-going mentoring has resulted in Tracey becoming one of just 40 people in the UK to be granted the prestigious accreditation of a Registered Life Planner. There are currently only nine women in the UK that have achieved this coveted status.

Tracey is now moving to the next stage – seeking to become a Chartered Financial Adviser and Certified Financial Planner and is on target to attain this in 2012. In addition to being an accomplished and much sought after public speaker, Tracey’s comments and insights are regularly included in the online and printed publications read by her peer group. She is widely recognised and acknowledged by her peers as being a thought leader.

Tracey lives in Copthorne, West Sussex with her husband Derek and has 3 sons. When not working she enjoys travel, scrapbooking, theatre and socialising.

Derek is the joint business owner and Associate Partner at Ashley Law Crawley, part of the national firm of Independent Financial Advisers. Derek works in partnership with his wife, Tracey.

Although Derek has been actively involved in the business since its inception, Derek joined Ashley Law Crawley full time as joint business owner and Associate Partner in 2011. To enter the world of Financial Advisers, Derek needed to gain industry approved qualifications. Derek studied with the IFS School of Finance and completed the Certificate for Financial Advisers (CeFA®). He is now working towards the Diploma (DipFA®) which is scheduled for completion in February 2012.

Derek is a consummate sales professional with over twenty years previous experience in the ICT Industry. He previously worked for BT Wholesale and BT Global Services, joining in 2003 to lead major transformational deals for managed and outsourced ICT services. He has also held positions at Thus plc. ntl, EDS, Siemens and THORN EMI.

Not unsurprisingly given his background, Derek is IT savvy to the core.  As well as being responsible for maintaining Ashley Law Crawley's IT systems he  has  built a strong social media presence for the business utilising Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and blogging over many years -  long before these tools assumed their current popularity.  With the last 15 years of his corporate life spent working with senior Directors and negotiating contracts from a position of delivering value, Derek has built a reputation for being considered in his views and actions; for being a great thinker, a calming influence and a man of real integrity. He is also a great planner with an unerring eye for detail.

Positively brimming with enthusiasm Derek is most definitely a man with a mission, which is?  - “To communicate what makes Ashley Law Crawley so very different from other practices and most importantly how our clients benefit from this.”

Derek lives in Copthorne, West Sussex with his wife, Tracey. Derek and has 3 sons. When not working he enjoys travel, Formula 1 Motorsport and Photography.

Debbie started her career in the financial industry in 1985 and a further 25 years on she is renowned within the Ashley Law Crawley team for being thorough, with a fine eye for detail and a methodical approach that is so important in financial services.

Ashley Law Crawley clients regularly comment on Debbie’s cheerful and sunny disposition and how it's always lovely to speak to her when they contact us.

Fully qualified up to the level of a financial adviser and the proud holder of the Financial Planning Certificate, Debbie is primarily responsible for the all-important market research and report writing - the essential work that has to take place before any recommendations can be made to a client. To this end, Debbie works very closely with Tracey and Derek.

Debbie's role also encompasses managing the administration team to ensure that the regulatory procedures are complied with and that an attentive and truly helpful client service remains at the heart of everything that we do.

Debbie is married and also has an extended family of cats. She has a keen interest in travel, performing arts, photography and gardening.

Eddy is the latest team member to join our team.  She has over a decade’s experience in financial services. This included a lengthy period at Alliance & Leicester where Edwina was responsible for advising on and selling loans, banking products and investments.

Moving on from Alliance & Leicester, Edwina worked at Edward Jones and Towry.  Her background and experience mean that Edwina is ideally suited to take on the pivotal role of administrator in our bustling office. 

In her spare time, Edwina is to be found in a quiet corner of her home in Sussex, designing and making jewellery or, looking after her 4 cats and 3 hens.  Happily, the hens and the cats coexist quite amicably together and, the hens produce enough free range eggs for many tasty breakfasts!

Dee Blick is our retained Chartered Marketer and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Dee has 27 years’ marketing experience gained from working initially with blue chip organisations and in the last 15 years with small and medium businesses.

Dee has extensive experience in new product development and marketing strategy, with a track record of planning and delivering exceptional campaigns. Dee is also a bestselling business author.

Her first book, Powerful Marketing on a Shoestring Budget for Small Businesses, was the number one reader review rated small business marketing book on Amazon UK for over 12 months and is permanently in the top five bestselling small business marketing books.  The sequel, The Ultimate Small Business Marketing Book – has recently been released and has achieved the same level of success.

Dee has consistently delivered powerful marketing campaigns for Ashley Law Crawley over the last 3 years and we consider her to be a key player in our management team.
